The arrival of the new year marks the start of a new call for Viña Ardanza Solidario, the international cooperation program promoted since 2007 by La Rioja Alta, S.A. winery group, which allocates 1% of its annual net profits to agricultural projects in impoverished countries.
All Spanish NGOs and Associations wishing to take part in this new call have until February 28, 2023. Forms are available in the project section in the Viña Ardanza Solidario page on the winery's corporate website, via this link: https://www.riojalta.com/grupo-la-rioja-alta/vina-ardanza-solidario/.
At the end of this period, the Allocation Committee will study all proposals received and, within two months, announce which projects are finally selected for 2023.
In 2022, La Rioja Alta, S.A. allocated more than €170,000 to initiatives of the NGOs Cultivalia Senegaal, Egoaizia, Fundación FRS, Manos Unidas and Medicus Mundi in Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Senegal.
This social responsibility initiative, pioneer among Spanish wineries and recipient of the 2017 Empresa Social Award granted by the Fundación Mundo Ciudad and the 2021 CaixaBank Private Banking Award for Best Project, has enabled La Rioja Alta, S.A. to allocate close to 2 million euros in aid. Beneficiaries are projects for processing and subsequently marketing agricultural products that focus on creating sustainable businesses, for which there is a pressing need in these countries.
