On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Viña Ardanza, to be officially celebrated on September 28th, La Rioja Alta, S.A. has just presented an exclusive deluxe collection of 2,000 bottles in Jeroboam size (3 litres) with the commemorative logo personalized with crystals by the prestigious firm Swarovski. This is the first time that the Haro winery uses this unique format to dress one of its most iconic brands. Each bottle of this collector's edition is numbered and signed by the winemaker, Julio Sáenz. The double magnum comes in a very special box that includes an exclusive wooden corkscrew to uncork it. 

La Rioja Alta, S.A. has chosen the 2008 harvest to honor this brand, a symbol of Rioja, throughout the year. This is a significant vintage in the history of the winery. It was the first time that, to complement the choice of Tempranillo grapes that comprise the main part of the blend (80%), Garnacha grapes from La Pedriza vineyard in Tudelilla, Rioja Baja, were used. This spectacular 67 hectare terroir, planted in 2000, has unbeatable conditions for growing this variety. With very poor soils completely covered with boulders, it produces grapes of marked varietal typicity, very rich in aromas with a pleasant, elegant structure, giving the wine a unique character.

To commemorate this anniversary, La Rioja Alta, S.A. is deploying an extensive programme of activities throughout 2017. There are events in Spain and in its main markets in Europe, America and Asia to pay tribute to one of the most recognized and internationally awarded brands of Spanish wine: Viña Ardanza.
