Viña Ardanza 2007, Best Rioja Wine at 'Wines from Spain Awards 2015'

Big première for the Viña Ardanza 2007 vintage. A few hours before placing the new vintage of this emblematic wine made by La Rioja Alta, S.A. on the market, the big news came from England: Viña Ardanza was chosen 'Best Rioja' at the Wines from Spain awards. This renowned international competition also included the 2005 Gran Reserva 904 (a vintage which is not available yet) in their renowned list Top 100 Spanish wines on the UK market by 2015.

The selection of the winners was conducted by a group of expert tasters which included buyers, journalists and members of the Institute of Masters of Wine, led by Tim Atkin, considered one of the leading wine experts in the world. More than seven hundred wines from fifty designations of origin and protected geographical indications were submitted to the 2015 edition.

In the coming months, there will be a number of activities and events, such as showrooms and presentations, to support the promotion of the winners in the UK, one of the main export markets for La Rioja Alta, S.A.

The 2007 Viña Ardanza is made with 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha grapes. It particularly stands out for its great intensity, balanced acidity and elegance.
