Over 30 years ago, La Rioja Alta, S.A. pioneered a new method aimed at bringing its most loyal customers closer to the winery.

The Club de Cosecheros is based on the absolute trust of its members, as they buy a wine which has still to be created. On the other hand, the winery is fully committed to its loyal members: it selects different plots of land to grow the grapes which are subsequently used to make an exclusive, unique wine, not found on the market and different from our other brands. This commitment is maintained over time, and this special high quality wine is produced every two years.

Not long ago, the Torre de Oña, S.A. Club de Cosecheros was founded, guided by the same principles of trust and loyalty.

We recently reached the conclusion that the Club de Cosecheros philosophy is also applicable to the Áster winery, so we are now presenting Edition “0” of the Aster Club de Cosecheros.

As is our custom, we have waited to be sure that we have the expertise and maturity required to create this club. Not in vain did we come to Anguix, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero district, in 1989, when we bought and planted the first vineyards. We waited for 10 years to market our first wine in the year 2000. During this time, we have learned more about the different plots of land and the strong Ribera del Duero personality, so that we are able to select only the best fruit.

When the time came, 17 years after planting the vines, our oenologist selected and separated a batch of wine, vintage 2002, thanks to its specific, different characteristics. This is the wine we are offering to inaugurate the Áster Club de Cosecheros.

Considering that this special selection for Edition “0” of the club is reduced in size and now at its best, each batch will consist of 120 bottles (half a cask). Customised labelling is available.

We have great hopes for this recently created Club de Cosecheros. We are sure that the first wine, Reserva 2002, is an impeccable interpretation of Ribera del Duero, of its history and its tradition, and a perfect combination of complexity and elegance.

On the other hand, besides being able to buy this special wine, our Club de Cosecheros members enjoy additional advantages, such as the possibility of booking our private dining rooms, taking tasting courses or receiving exclusive offers for wine and other products in very attractive conditions.
