The Áster winery was built in 2002 with a timeless beauty. The country home is naturally integrated into the winery facilities, the most spectacular aspect of which is the production room, a large open space with views of the vineyard and of several rows of stainless steel tank outlets. The cask hall, with room for up to 4,000 barrels, is another attraction for visitors. It currently houses 2,700 French and American oak casks, which are used alternately depending on the characteristics of the crop.
The vineyard, at 2,490 ft above sea level, is in locality of La Horra and Anguix. Seventy-six of its 95 hectares were planted in 1991 and are now fully productive.
The grape variety is Tinto del pais tempranillo and the soil is clay-loam. The vines are trellis-trained following the bilateral cordon method
